Invisible fence (Unsichtbarer Zaun)

Es beschäftigt mich schon lang und manche Sachen schleichen sich so langsam in unseren Alltag ein, da muß ich jetzt mal was zu schreiben, sonst find ich es bald normal und der nicht-in-den-USA-Lebende erfährt nix davon.

Als wir im Januar auf Haussuche waren, erzählte der Makler einige male, dass wir keine Angst vor dem frei herumlaufenden Hund nebenan haben brauchen, da da ein unsichtbarer Zaun sei. Ich dachte, der tickt nicht richtig!
Na, jetzt wohnen wir hier und erleben es überall täglich. Unser Nachbarhund ist groß, schwarz, bellt laut und ist oft allein und frei im Garten. Um den Vorgarten ist kein Zaun, d.h. kein sichtbarer Zaun-"nur" ein unsichtbarer Zaun...???!!! Das ist kein schlechter halloween-Scherz. Um das Grundstück ist eine Stromspannung gelegt (physikalisch sicher schlecht erklärt, aber egal!) und der Hund hat ein spezielles Halsband um, das ihm einen Stromschlag verpasst, wenn er raus will! Ist das nicht genial oder ist es Tierquälerei-kann man sicher drüber streiten! Es folgen einige Gebrauchsanweisungen aus der Fachwelt:

1. Does the correction hurt the dog?
The correction from a Computer Collar may be uncomfortable and startling to your dog, but it will not hurt him. Many dogs only feel the correction once or twice and don't challenge the system afterwards.

2. What does the correction feel like?
The correction from a Computer Collar is similar to the sensation you feel when you walk across a carpet and touch a metal doorknob. The sensation momentarily surprises you and gets your attention.

7. Since you can't see the Invisible Fence system, could people become frightened when they see a "loose" dog?
Your Invisible Fence professional will provide you with yard signs to inform neighbors that your dog is safely contained by an Invisible Fence.

8. Will the Invisible Fence system work for other animals besides dogs and cats?
We have reports of customers who have used Invisible Fence products on farm animals (cows, sheep, pigs, etc.) with success. However, Invisible Fence products are intended for domestic dogs and cats, and we have only developed training protocols for these pets.

9. How many pets can I have on my Invisible Fence system?
You can place multiple pets on the same Invisible Fence system. However, each pet needs to wear his own customized Computer Collar^® . Each pet must also have separate training lessons.

Ist das alles nicht höchsterstaunlich? Grüße an die Normalität in Deutschland! So ein ordentlicher Maschendrahtzaun oder Jägerzaun ist mir lieber. Da weiß man was man hat!
