Mittagessenspende am Dienstag

Folgende email bekam ich grad von der Schule. Wären solche Hilfsaktionen in Deutschland auch möglich? Es geht dabei ums alltägliche helfen, nicht nur im Katastrophenfall oder zu Weihnachten.

Dear Franklin Families,

The Franklin School Student Council is launching its first service project. "Two Lunch Tuesday" will provide bag lunches to needy individuals who arrive daily at the St. Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth. Students who would like to participate need to make an extra lunch in a brown bag to bring to school on Tuesday mornings. Student Council representatives will collect these lunches before 9 a.m. and bring them to a central location in our school.

Here is where we need some help... We are looking for volunteers to rotate picking up the lunches from Franklin School on Tuesdays at 9:30 and then dropping them off at the St. Joseph's Social Center in Elizabeth. We will make up a schedule based on your availability. This will be a great opportunity for our students to help make a difference!
